Project Year: 2022
Situation
Ezra was recruiting clinical trial participants for a study of its latest AI-empowered protocols.
The participant response rate was low and engagement of recruitment agencies was creating a significant strain on budget.
Approach
I joined the team to provide additional insight into leveraging marketing tactics to support recruitment efforts. My understanding of ethics board requirements and prior experience in recruiting participants for my own research proved valuable.
We approached the problem in two steps:
- Designed protocol to standardize recruitment protocol in accordance with ethical guidelines
- Designed industry process to leverage digital marketing for conversion
We were able to produce recruitment materials that satisfied all regulations and convert them into marketing materials easily deployed to the target audience.

- Recruited clinical trial participants with known pathologies through paid marketing
- Reduced quoted cost of recruitment efforts by 98.9%
- Reduced recruitment timeline by 96.8%
- Successfully satisfied all regulatory requirements for recruitment
- Standardized recruitment protocol for future use
